0.0: Begin from the park headquarters on the well-signed Corral Trail.
0.5: Junction. Veer left toward Flat Frog and Fish Trails. After a few feet, the
path crosses Manzanita Point Road and reaches a junction with Flat Frog and Fish
Trails. Bear left onto Flat Frog.
2.65: Junction. Hobbs Road heads uphill both to the left and right, and Frog
Lake Trail sets off for its namesake, sharply to the right. Turn left onto Hobbs
Road.
3.4: Junction. Monument Trail departs to the right. Continue straight on Hobbs
Road.
3.5: Junction. Just as the fire road begins to descend, turn left across from
a junction with Ponderosa Trail.
3.5: Coe memorial. Turn back to the fire road, then cross it onto Ponderosa
Trail.
3.65: Junction with Monument Trail. Continue straight, following the sign to
the vista point.
3.85: Paths split around Eric's Bench. When you're ready, return to the junction
with Monument Trail.
4.0: Junction. Turn right onto Monument Trail.
4.35: Gate. Turn right onto Manzanita Point Road.
4.45: Manzanita Point Road ends. Veer left onto the park road, and walk the remaining
100 feet back to the parking area.
4.5: Back at the parking lot.
Getting there:
From San Francisco, drive south on I-280 about 36 miles and exit #12b onto
CA 85 south. Drive south 19 miles, then merge onto southbound US 101 (exit 1a).
Drive south on US 101 about 10 miles to Morgan Hill, then exit #366 onto East
Dunne Avenue. Drive east 13 miles to the park headquarters and visitor center.
